Piedmont Knob to Grassy Knob to Fire Ring Knob to Ski Trail Knob. There were lots of knobs. Does it matter what they’re called? Not really. Just as long as you fill your eyes with stuff you can remember later when you’re drooling into a cup.
There’s a cool rock below the first knob as you approach from 24th and Piedmont. There were a lot of uphills. There was a lot of orange hawkweed (aka Indian paintbrush). There were some cool mushrooms. There were lots of creeks to crawl in to cool off. There was a lot of panting from both me and the dog. A couple of salties out waiting past the bridge. Nobody out there but me and the dog and some deer sign.
Also, at this rate, I’m going to need about 120 individual days to pull this project off. I think I need to make each leg of this project a little lengthier. Otherwise, I may soon be saying what Ron Burgundy says right after he jumps into the bear pit:
T-Shirt of the Day:
2003 Grandma’s Finisher shirt. 5th fastest Grandma’s of the 10 I’ve done. 3:55:00.
